Description:
Lifting Eye – 0321537 (321537)
This lifting eye is designed to be used in conjunction with a flywheel puller plate, providing a secure lifting point for safely hoisting outboard engines or powerheads. The lifting eye threads into the centre of the flywheel puller plate, while the puller plate itself is bolted to the flywheel using three bolts, creating a strong and stable lifting assembly.
When paired with a 3-bolt flywheel puller plate (0378103), this setup allows engines to be safely lifted on or off the boat’s transom or removed during servicing. The eye ring provides a convenient attachment point for a chain hoist, lifting hook, or engine crane, helping ensure balanced and controlled lifting.
While commonly used on Johnson and Evinrude outboards, this lifting eye and puller plate setup can also be used on most outboard motors that feature a three-bolt flywheel mounting pattern. Depending on the engine model, the correct thread bolts for the flywheel may need to be purchased separately.
Constructed from durable steel, this lifting eye is a simple but essential workshop tool widely used by marine technicians when installing, removing, or servicing outboard engines.
Key Features:
• Designed for use with a 3-bolt flywheel puller plate
• Threads into the centre of the puller plate to create a secure lifting point
• Suitable for most outboards with a 3-bolt flywheel pattern
• Ring eye allows easy attachment to a chain hoist or lifting hook
• Strong steel construction for reliable workshop use
Important Notes:
• Must be used with a flywheel puller plate that bolts to the flywheel with three bolts
• The lifting eye threads into the puller plate — it does not attach directly to the crankshaft
• Correct thread bolts for the flywheel may need to be purchased separately depending on the engine model
