The Mercury Marine Quicksilver Verado Power Steering Pump Gen C STD (Part # 8M0199048) is a high-quality OEM power steering pump kit designed specifically for Mercury Verado outboard engines requiring power steering. This Gen C pump serves as a direct replacement for the discontinued Gen B pump kits (8M0131261, 8M0131262, 8M0131263), offering enhanced reliability and seamless integration for optimal steering performance in marine environments.

Key Features:
• Comprehensive Kit: Includes the power steering pump and two quarts of SAE 0W-30 Full Synthetic Power Steering Fluid, ensuring all essential components for installation are provided.
• Broad Compatibility: Designed for Mercury Verado outboard engines with power steering systems, including 200 HP, 250 HP, and 300 HP Pro Verado 6-cylinder models (2005 and newer, specific serial number ranges). Supersedes part numbers 8M0148159, 8M0080200, 892441A18, and 892440A08.
• Robust Construction: Engineered to withstand demanding marine conditions, delivering consistent performance and durability.
• Smooth Steering: Provides responsive and precise power steering for enhanced vessel control and handling.
• OEM Standards: Manufactured by Mercury Marine to meet stringent factory specifications for quality and fit.

Installation Requirements:
• Additional Parts: When upgrading from a Gen B pump, refer to Mercury Marine service bulletins for required additional components to ensure proper installation.
• Adapter Hose: For retrofitting from a Gen B pump, the adapter hose (Part # 8M0152467) is required. This hose features a Saginaw flare fitting to connect to the existing pressure hose and a -6 ORFS connection for the pump, matching the length of the replaced dampener hose.
• Power Harness: Note that the power harness is not included in this kit. Compatible harnesses in various lengths are available separately (see related items).
• Signal Driver and CAN 3 Pump Harness: Sold separately. Complete power steering pump harness kits, including signal driver and CAN 3 pump harnesses (excluding power harness), are available as follows:
- Single Engine Harness Kit: 8M0199050
- Dual Engine Harness Kit: 8M0199051
- Triple Engine Harness Kit: 8M0199052
- Quad Engine Harness Kit: 8M0199053
