Description:
PP-4944404 Cummins Marine Fuel Cooler
The Cummins 4944404 Fuel Cooler is a marine shell-and-tube fuel return cooler used to regulate diesel fuel temperature on Cummins marine engines.
Heated return fuel from the engine’s fuel system passes through the internal tube bundle while raw seawater flows through the outer shell. This reduces fuel temperature before it returns to the tank, improving fuel density, protecting injection components, and preventing vapour formation — particularly critical on common-rail and electronic Cummins marine platforms.
Although its physical construction resembles a heat exchanger, its sole function is fuel cooling. It does not handle engine coolant and must not be used as an engine heat exchanger.
Manufactured to OEM dimensions and port orientation, 4944404 installs as a direct replacement when hose size and fuel connection type match the existing installation.
Suits Cummins Marine:
• QSB-series marine diesel engines
• QSC-series marine diesel engines
• Installations using remote fuel return cooling circuits
